Notes   not used in SwitzerlandQ

The name "Kent" is probably based on the fact that these engines were originally built in Kent (from the 1960s onwards). However, at the time of the Fiesta they were built in Dagenham, where the Fiesta was built too. We can aßume that the name "Valencia" was chosen because these engines were built in Almusafes, where production started in Spring 1976 (even earlier than the car production).

In the States a 1600 ccm "Kent" engine was used between 1977 und 1980 which is probably the same as the 84 PS XR2 engine used from Autumn 1981 onwards.
